STONECREST, GA— On Saturday, August 5, 2017, noted youth mentor and anti-violence and crime activist Orrin “Checkmate” Hudson will use a life-size chessboard to bring life lessons to students in Stonecrest at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, 7850 Stonecrest Lithonia , GA.30038. By learning to outthink the competition, Hudson says these young people will learn to respect others, think before they make dangerous moves, and give more than they take. The session will outline specific strategies that help students put “Brains Before Bullets.” And to choose peace instead of violence.
Back to School weekend is the perfect time to promote peace, positivity and purpose!
Hudson, founder of Be Someone, Inc. www.besomeone.org, is a former gang member Air Force veteran and law enforcement officer and he has been awarded the prestigious FBI Director’s Community Leader Award and the DeKalb County CEO Community Hero Award.
